Description

Centauri is seeking a highly motivated Satellite Sensor Engineer with Radar sensor development to include hardware, integration and test experience to support a major acquisition system program office. Successful candidates have experience with Radar satellite payload sensor design, design alternatives and trades, concept evaluation, and sensor modeling and simulation.

The successful candidate will have a degree in engineering, physics, or imaging science/remote sensing.  Key skills include advisory expertise with radar product/quality/sensing hardware figures of merit, sensor hardware vulnerabilities, and general radar knowledge; be able to identify and analyze sensor design issues; determine test and validation issues; and analyze integration and interface requirements; be proficient in MATLAB and Python.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in engineering, physics, imaging science / remote sensing or related technical discipline
  • 3 years experience with sensor design, modeling & simulation, development
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-starter who can partner with multiple teammates

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters in engineering physics, imaging science / remote sensing or related technical discipline. 
  • 3-7 years experience with sensor design, modeling & simulation, development, and acquisition
  • Satellite development experience with low or high earth systems.
  • Major space system acquisition experience
  • Exposure to the system design trade process, assessing system design options, analyzing mission requirements, monitoring vehicle development and test, conops development, and tracking requirement verification
  • Specific knowledge of the NRO and its processes

Security Requirements: Must have an active TS/SCI with CI Poly
