Your Primary Responsibilities


As Manager, you will focus on the following:


1. Project Management and Implementation

  • Create and manage workplans to ensure the project team is efficient and successful in its delivery of content and stakeholder engagement
  • Ensure relevant partners and stakeholders are engaged in thoughtful ways
  • Implement innovative engagement experiences for workforce stakeholders to encourage collaboration and learning (both in person* and virtually)


2. Communication Systems and Tools

  • Manage the Opportunity Navigator tool for employers, ensuring both practices and resources are updated with current research
  • Execute an engaging communications plan that includes a periodic newsletter, website maintenance, and technology platforms to encourage community engagement
  • Support development of materials for events, presentations and thought leadership pieces


3. Research

  • Research tools and resources for employer audiences that can assist with the implementation of practices that support frontline workers
  • Develop community dashboards and historical timelines to help employers understand the local communities in which they operate through data and storytelling
  • Research, synthesize, and share trends in the workforce space at the local, state, and national level that are relevant to employers and workforce providers, including identifying thought leaders


Your Skills

  • 5-7 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-performing environment in any one of the following industries: corporate human resources, workforce development, or workforce consulting
  • Experience conducting and synthesizing primary and secondary research in a thorough and timely manner
  • Communications experience, including writing and editing, PowerPoint slide development, and use of WordPress for website updates
  • Experience applying equity and inclusion principles into research and communication, including disaggregating data and understanding historical context of racism in cities and regions
  • Strong project management skills, including ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and attention to detail and follow-up
  • Direct lived experience or experience supporting populations often overlooked in the workforce (e.g. opportunity youth, second chance hires, individuals with disabilities, refugees, people of color, etc.)
  • Experience with systems thinking, human-centered design and/or improv is a bonus
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel domestically 15% to 25% of the time (when travel is feasible again in the future*)



This is a full-time position based in FSG’s Seattle, Boston, San Francisco, or Washington D.C. office*. At this time, the salary range for the role is $70,000 - $80,000. Salaries are set according to an explicit compensation policy, and relevant market data is analyzed when setting salaries for each role. We also offer a generous benefits package including: health insurance with 100% of premiums covered by FSG, 3 weeks paid vacation, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, cell phone stipend, disability and life insurance, and more. 


Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for our US offices. In addition, we are unable to support the OPT Training Visa, as this visa will eventually require sponsorship.


*FSG’s US offices are currently closed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Employees are working virtually and no travel is expected through at least the remainder of 2020. We will continue to monitor the situation with the health and safety of our staff at the forefront. FSG is offering a variety of technological and well-being resources to support our people as we navigate our current environment together.
